question-and-answer reading
The Fool is symbolic of the child you are. Oracles are for the childlike, the inquisitive, for those who want to know and learn about themselves and life.
What do you want to know? Ask the oracle of tarot for an answer. Play with the cards face-down while focusing on your question. Then select a card, and you will have an answer. If the answer is not clear, choose another card-symbol that will clarify it. These answers may provoke other questions you can ask the cards. Tarot is an endless question-and-answer process, as is life.
You consult the oracle to receive answers for your uncertainties. But your questions are often vague and unformed. You are unsure of exactly what you want to know. The tarot helps you formulate your questions. It is as though you are experiencing the Fool-Child, the embryo, symbolizing the formless spirit coming into form.
The clearer the question, the more effective the answer. In forming your
questions, you are actually engaged in clarifying the answer. If you are consulting the tarot for others, part of your role is to help define their inquiries.
For example, all of us want to know about our lovelife. But what about it? What do we want to know? Who to love? How to love? Where to find love? We need to be specific with our questions, and ask many questions.
You may be unsure what can be asked of the tarot oracle. It will answer questions pertaining to any general or specific aspect of your inner personal life or external world. You can ask, How? Why? When? Where? Who? and What? It will give you answers about the past, present, and future. You can ask about certainties, probabilities, and possibilities. The tarot will respond to questions about shoulds and should nots, needs, requirements, and abilities. You can ask about means and ends, realities and potentials. Cosmic questions are allowed as are mundane ones. The tarot is an open forum for self-inquiry and discussion.
